Touring the Campus

The Business Inn & Suites is just a quick stroll away from the University of Ottawa. In fact, you’ll have two options for routes to take to the University of Ottawa campus.

Your first option is to walk north on Elgin Street until you reach Laurier and then turn right. This option puts you close to Tabaret Hall, the nerve centre of the university, and the place where all registration is handled.

However, if you’d like a more scenic view of the campus, you’ll want to walk east along Somerset Street to the pedestrian bridge spanning the Rideau Canal.

Both routes take approximately five minutes, and will have you on campus before you know it.

Convocation

The University of Ottawa usually holds its convocations at the National Arts Centre (NAC) or Shaw Centre. The Business Inn & Suites is closer to the NAC and Shaw Centre than most other hotels near the University of Ottawa. In fact, the NAC is just a short walk, two to three minutes north along Elgin Street from The Business Inn & Suites.

Carleton University

The Business Inn & Suites is also close to Carleton University. It takes about eight minutes to get to Carleton University by car, and approximately 30 minutes by bus.
