Tulip Festival

The Tulip Festival is a celebration of the return of the warm months to Ottawa. Throughout the city, tulips begin to blossom in mid May. We have approximately one million tulips in the city, all of which bloom in spectacular colours.

There are many places to view the blooming tulips. Walk along the Rideau Canal nearby The Business Inn & Suites, or take a stroll down to Major’s Hill Park. There are spectacular tulips everywhere in Ottawa in May, and they’re uplifting.

International Children’s Festival

Bringing the whole family to Ottawa in the spring? Be sure to check out the Ottawa International Children’s Festival. It features special programming just for kids, including music, plays, and dance acts.

It all takes place in late May at Lebreton Flats Park, just a quick bus or LRT ride along the OC Transpo Transitway from The Business Inn & Suites.

Westfest

One of the many free festivals in Ottawa, Westfest takes place in Westboro, which is a just a quick bus ride or drive from The Business Inn & Suites. Happening in mid-June, the festival features free concerts and stage shows, all courtesy of the local business establishments in one of Ottawa’s most up-and-coming neighbourhoods.
