Summer
Summer in Ottawa is a busy time. It’s a time full of festivals, music and otherwise, and there’s always something to do. First comes the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, then Bluesfest. With any other city, these massive festivals would be enough, but Ottawa also hosts CityFolk.
With so much music, it can be tempting to stay the entire summer and catch all the music. But one question remains: where to stay in Ottawa?
The Business Inn & Suites is located centrally. From its downtown location, you are within walking distance of all these major festivals. In fact, the Ottawa International Jazz Festival is just down Elgin Street, where The Business Inn & Suites is located.
And if you’re here for Canada Day, we’re the place to stay; we’re one of the closest hotels to Parliament Hill. So, if you’re still wondering where to stay in Ottawa, choose The Business Inn & Suites. Our rates are competitive and our suites are beautiful.
Bluesfest
Bluesfest at Lebreton Flats is just a short bus ride or drive from The Business Inn & Suites. It happens in early July, and features massive names from all over the world of music – it’s not just for blues anymore.
Whether you’re a fan of rock, hip-hop or grassroots, Bluesfest is music. And since it runs a full week, there are plenty of bands to see.

Ottawa International Jazz Festival
The Ottawa International Jazz Festival in Confederation Park is just down the street from The Business Inn & Suites. Just a short walk and you’ll have access to all the sights and sounds of the festival. If you’re a jazz fan, this is a hard one to miss.
CityFolk
If you’re more a fan a folk music, CityFolk is the place for you. Though it also features artists from other genres, this festival has a much more acoustic feel than either the Ottawa International Jazz Festival or Bluesfest.
A five day festival, it takes place in early September at Lansdowne Park, which is a short bus ride south from The Business Inn & Suites.
