Tourisme Ottawa

[to be translated into French]

There are so many things to experience in Ottawa. No matter the season, the Capital City is always a joy to experience. Tourism in Ottawa is, without a doubt, one of the best choices to spend time in Ottawa.

And, since Ottawa’s downtown contains so many tourist destinations, it is wise to stay at a downtown hotel.

The Business Inn & Suites is located in the centre of downtown Ottawa. There is no better place to stay, in order to be close to the fun and excitement Ottawa has to offer.

Winterlude

During winter, Ottawa heats up. Winterlude is a two-week long celebration of all things winter. It takes place in Feburary, one of the best months for Ottawa tourism.

During Winterlude, you’ll be able to walk a few blocks from The Business Inn & Suites to see the ice sculptures in Confederation Park. Go at night to see them light up and sparkle under the beams of multi-coloured lights.

Or, take a short walk to the Rideau Canal to join the thousands of skaters on the world’s longest skating rink.

Bluesfest

Bluesfest is a popular draw for tourists. Every year, the list of featured artists get better and better, with acts like Kanye West and Blue Rodeo on the main stage.

Bluesfest takes place over two weeks in July in Lebreton Flats. From The Business Inn & Suites, Lebreton Flats is just a quick bus ride away. While it is possible to drive to the event, we do not recommend it, as very little parking is available.

Parliament Buildings

The Parliament Buildings are just down the street from The Business Inn & Suites. Learn about Canada’s history with a guided tour of the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings.

These guided tours occur frequently, and are free.

If you are in Ottawa any evening from June to September, head to Parliament Hill to see a spectacular light and sound show called Mosaika.
